Seven Hills Foundation is an organization founded with a vision of empowering the deprived and the marginalized communities across the country. SHF emerged from long nurtured passion and deep rooted empathy of its founder to serve the poor living in the economic periphery of our society. SHF works in the clustered spaces created by the widening rift between the rich and the poor. Apart from focusing on the tangible challenges we also intervene to address many such problems in the community which cannot be measured. We believe that poverty is a not only a by-product of economic deprivation but also has multiple contributors be it illiteracy, ignorance, lack of skills to name a few, all stemming from social, religious, psychological, physiological , political and global backgrounds. We believe in qualitative impact more than quantitative initiatives. Our initiatives aim to create a trajectory for the needy towards a better life.
Mrs. Shanthala Nataraj, the inspiring founder of Seven Hills Foundation in Bangalore, started her journey in a modest middle-class household. Born to a family where her father's words of wisdom and acts of compassion were daily teachings, Mrs. Shanthala Nataraj was imbued with a profound sense of empathy and a desire to make a tangible difference in the lives of the less fortunate. Her father, a man of simple means but great moral strength, often reminded her that true wealth lay not in material possessions but in the ability to uplift those around her. As a young girl, Mrs. Shanthala Nataraj would often accompany her father on his visits to local communities in need. She watched in awe as he offered help and hope with nothing more than kind words and a willingness to listen. These experiences planted the seeds of her lifelong mission to serve others. After completing her education, Mrs. Shanthala Nataraj began her career as a teacher. For six years, she dedicated herself to nurturing young minds, instilling in her students not just academic knowledge but also the values of compassion and integrity. Her classroom was a sanctuary for many underprivileged children, a place where they felt seen and valued.
“Health – Education - Awareness - Rural Integration – Training”

Good health is the greatest asset that man can possess and most often health is the last priority for the challenged communities, with little or no regard accorded to its up keeping. We help communities towards healthy living through our awareness sessions on hygiene, nutrition and healthy habits. We organize free medical check-ups at slums and villages to help people monitor their health.

We know that education is the gateway through which transition takes places in the lives of people. We have a three pronged approach to encourage literacy among communities. We collaborate with schools help them to organise programs, we sensitise the parents on the importance of education and help them in possible means and ways to educate their children.

Most of the problems thrive and hamper the quality of lives of the masses in the society primarily due to ignorance. Owe it to illiteracy or social suppression a vast majority of the poor still live without much knowledge about opportunities, welfare schemes, illness, primarily to lack of awareness. We sensitise people and communities on relevant and vital issues across the spectrum.

Agrarian communities has been the back bone of the economy of our society but also has been the most neglected and under developed in the economic hierarchy of classes. We strive to integrate the agrarian communities, strengthening them from the base and open out a world of opportunities and benefits for them. We work along with the stake holders not only to mitigate the issues plaguing them but also to create an upward mobility for them in the society.

We focus on providing parallel education to those in need, our Skills Training program aims at equipping students, women and youths with additional professional skills, thus increasing their employability and career prospects. Our training programs aims assist the unemployed to transcend beyond limitations and attain their full potential. We take over from where regular academies stop.
